I know that President’s Day was technically a week and a half ago, so I’m technically a little late on this post. That being said, I actually just read this non-fiction interactive e-book on the smartboard to my class today! (In my defense, we were closed last week and didn’t have time to talk about it yet.)
The students were so interested in learning about the holiday, which is officially still referred to as “Washington’s Birthday.” Learn about the history of how this federal holiday came to be through this fun Smart Notebook file! The story has comprehension questions throughout to check for understanding which really helps to keep them engaged!

I know I'm too late to the party, but I have a question any way. I have a Promethean Board, and when I try to download a Smartboard file, the computer says that it is unable to download it. Do you have any tips on this?
Thanks for all your great tips. I love the Pinterest boards you created, too.

Hi Susan! Does it say that it's unable to download it or unable to open it? I've been playing around with ActivInspire to test compatibility and I found that you can open the file by doing File > Import > Smart Notebook File. But if the file isn't downloading that's a little different. What's your email address? Let me send this file to you so you can test it out. Maybe the other file is corrupt or something?
